Summer is fully upon us! We’ve had some amazing heat, concerts and block-partys here in NYC. Summer has also been the kick off of Spotify here in the states. I’m on it here and will be including some playlists links as I see fit.

License To This | AUG 11’ - I started this search off as Summer Mix 2, but thing veered a bit when checking out some of our new releases. Figure its better for the genre integrity of my playlist to suffer a touch for the sake of fresh jams.

Crush On You.mp3 - synthy pop tune with a nice boom chick beat. a quick drop leads into the anthemic chorus. with a nice breakdown and break up this one feels confident, tables have turned and things are on the up and up.
Summer Planet.mp3 - synth pop jam. kicking off summer right. synth drops out here and there for a nice bent guitar melody.
Bring It To You No Melody.mp3 - great building track with a strong slightly gritty guitar melody. a drum machine, a xylophone and some synth round this into a trotting a light summer piece that keeps on building.
Wunderkind.mp3 - driving acoustic strummer with a glock and some humming leading it along. slap your knee, enjoy the beach and watch the sun go down on the perfect day.
Digital dusk.mp3 - the name suites this simple digital but warm arpeggiation smearing. a simple dub step beat minus the wobble with a touch of “indie”, I could see this being the sound track for a late night or a dreamy day.
Milk.mp3 - arpeggiated guitar work leads this short and simple acoustic track into a thoughtful, caring and lovable place. feels like a hug and a sunrise at the same time.
Harvest ensemble.mp3 - this twangy number is backed by a serious string section. the bowed bass is amazing bringing up the low end. definitely a versatile track.
Pink Tuxedo.mp3 - a modern throw back. sounds like twisting on the beach with your long board….but just a bit off. break beats and morphed filtering lend the kitschy tune a modern touch and a bit of underwaterness.
Demonic mutants.mp3 - drop break beat kicks this track into some weirdo mutant samples and turntablism. I don’t know where to place this…but I like it. Maybe for a space lowrider dj scene. reminds me of Wave Twisters
Building A Robot.mp3 - this track came of our new CD that is coined “Themes for Slow Motion”. I love the concept and thats exactly what it sounds like. Give me a diving 808 kick any day of the week.
